Zapier – why it’s a game changer.
I’ve been talking about Zapier for a while now and we use it in our business but I know it can be a bit of a minefield. I recently did a webinar on Zapier and how to use it. If you missed it, then this blog is for you. I’ll give you low down and if you want some live pics and a bit of help just get in touch we’d be happy to trouble shoot with you or send you the link to the replay.
What does Zapier do
A lot. We primarily use it for lead generation (chatbot) and backend automations. Our chatbot we built ourselves and it sits on our website answering questions (which is mostly what services do you provide). You can see the conversations it’s having and feed it more information if you decide to update your offering or need to refine the instructions cause it’s telling jokes and making things up (actually happened).
For the backend automations this is where the game changing starts. Let me take you through the client acquisition process for a service based business.
Client acquisition process
Lead come in through your website (Zapier adds it to your CRM)
Your CRM is beautifully set up so that you client goes through your CRM until you get to proposal.
You then win your client (Zapier automatically creates a proposal template)
Once they have signed your proposal (Zapier then creates a project in your workflow management system including the onboarding checklist with reminders)
Now, each task is small. But if you read above you won’t have manually touched that lead other than whatever you need to do in your CRM depending on what you’ve got set up in there, populating the proposal template and then calling them to welcome them (which an automation reminded you of).
You can then go onto automate your onboarding as well.
You get the drift. You can link your apps and automate your workflows using a series of zaps.
The actual tasks Zapier is doing aren't anything amazing (although the AI part is), but that’s not where the value is. The value is in what you’re not doing, what you’re not having to think about.
Don’t underestimate the power of freeing up head space!
You can start Zapier for free and have a play around. If you get stuck ChatGPT is pretty good at troubleshooting. If you’re really stuck, you can of course call us. Or flick us an email because we might be able to see the issue straight away.
Either way getting some automations into your workflow will most certainly help your free up your time and head space so you can as efficient as possible and get back to what you do best!
Happy Zapping!
