Are you ready for Christmas?

I bet you’re looking forward to some time off over Christmas. I know I am!

The question is, is your business ready?

For lots of people the Christmas shutdown is routine. Everything just stops, simple! If you’re a SME you actually might still need some things to keep running. If that’ you then get yourself organised before you press shut down so you don’t have to think about it and you can take some well earned (and needed) rest.

Here’s a little checklist for you so you can shut down, put your feet up and relax!

Christmas shut down Checklist:

-       Clients and customers communicated with regarding shut down period (if any)

-       Emergency procedures clear and communicated to all team members

-       On call point of contact designated and briefed

-       Any automations set up e.g. content scheduled, automatic responses on social media accounts

-       Out of office added onto email, including who to contact and their contact details if it’s an emergency

-       If your business keeps running how and when the team members will check in with you to give you updates.

Christmas is a great time of year for many of us to take a break and reset. I’d encourage everyone to try and switch of for as much time as possible! For me, I’m actually taking until the 15^th January off. All of my blogs, Newsletters, social media content is being created now and all my clients are being looked after by team members that are taking less time off.

I you’re needing to work through take it easy and make sure you book time for off for yourself at another time of year.
